![]() Lategame you can even find shields that give you intelligence/ constitution boost, so I find them very desirable on my mage builds. I don't think there exists a 2 Handed stave that could surpass these bonuses, and having a shield not only makes you tankier but also gives you shield toss skill, which is really good skill for necromancer, since it has short cooldown and it's damage entirely depends on how good the shield is and your warfare level. Late game/ act 4, I settled for a shield + dagger(Rancour) combo, because that unique dagger gives 25% critical chance, +additional bonuses, which is very good, since as a mage you never use your weapon ever anyways, what you want are good bonuses. ![]() ![]() Nah I would do it with Shield + 1 handed melee combo, ideally, though I made use of various different uniques, depending on what was the best option for me depending on stage of the game.
